Departure

every moment is a point of departure. well, the departure of course is followed by an arrival, there is pangs of pain, cause the departing moment has arrived, and there is jerking joy, cause the moment arrived has departed. if we were to take a peekaboo, from the moment of birth, we have been faced with these departures....from the womb to the world, from infancy to childhood, adolscence to adulthood, to middle age and then to old age. from play school to kindergarten, school to college, to work space, from the freedom of a spinster/bachelor to married life. from older ideas and views related to any topic on earth or beyond the earth, to newer ones.

departure from innocence and freedom, departure from friends and loved ones, departure from home and family, departure from familiar surroundings to newer ones, departure from the country of origin to....the list is endless....

departures are painful...but it has a hidden tint of happiness too. if we have not departed from one, we cannot arrive at another.....every departure is a moment of death, death overlapping life!

every moment departs, but doesn't another take its place. Doesn't that mean it is the triumph of the one that takes its place over the one that just left? Then shouldn't it be life overlapping death and not as you said?
Just the thought of a part-time optimist. (and eternal nit-picker)
Thanks for stopping by my blog.
